Taylor Hybrid Academy

Why Taylor Hybrid Academy
As a school district, our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn in a way that best fits their needs, goals, and circumstances while at the same time, following a specific graduation pathway.
To accomplish this goal, the administration from the middle school and high school are pleased to announce that Taylor Community Schools will offer a full-time virtual option for learning. Students who are enrolled as “Virtual” will work on site at Taylor High School (in a classroom setting) and will be monitored by a Taylor employee that will oversee the day to day operations of the virtual academy. This will help with attendance and monitoring of students as they complete their work.
A virtual option (hybrid) for learning will be for grades 7-12. Students will be enrolled virtually at Taylor Middle School and High School through Edmentum ( EdOptions Academy and Plato).
We know that some students thrive in traditional classrooms while others need a different environment, one that a virtual option will provide. A virtual option provides the flexibility and personalization that some students need.
Taylor Community School Corporation staff and administration have selected Edmentum because it offers self-paced learning for credit recovery, acceleration, or flexible scheduling. Edmentum has a program called EdOptions Academy that offers synchronous learning and multiple resources for students to be successful such as live homework help.
By offering a fully virtual option at Taylor Middle School and High School (that is on site), shows our commitment to equity, flexibility, and the success of every student in our community.
This combination will expand academic opportunities, support personalized learning, and strengthen our capacity to meet the diverse needs of our students.
For students who need flexibility due to work, health, or family responsibilities, online learning ensures they can stay on track academically without interruption and still follow their graduation pathways.
