On Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. a meeting conducted by the Kokomo Area Special Education Cooperative will take place in the board room at Western Schools, 2600 County Rd S 600 W, Russiaville, IN 46979. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of non-public schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend non-public schools and home schools which are within the Taylor Community School district for the 2017-2018 school year. Parents of a home schooled child or a child attending a non-public school who has been, or may be, identified with a disability and attend a non-public school within the Taylor district are urged to attend. All enrolled TMS students can get their Chromebook for the 2017-2018 school year early. Hand out will be in the Taylor Media Center on August 14 from 5:00 to 7:00. Verification of enrollment is required and those not enrolled will need to enroll before getting Chromebook for the year.

21st Century Scholars

Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars Program offers income-eligible Hoosier students up to four years of paid tuition at an eligible Indiana college or university after they graduate from high school. In middle and high school, 21st Century Scholars are connected to programs and resources to help them prepare for college. Once in college, Scholars receive support to complete their college degrees and connect to career opportunities.  For more information and to apply, click here.
