*The Taylor Band & Guard Boosters are hosting Bowling for Band on Sunday, May 5th at Heritage Lanes, located at 1301 W. Lincoln Rd. The event will be from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. Price is $20 to bowl and includes two hours of bowling and shoes. $10 admission for non-bowlers. There will be door prizes, silent auction, raffles, & 50/50.Register at Eventbrite.com for Bowling for Band to reserve your spot, as spaces are limited. Payment due at the door.
*Summer and Part-time employment opportunity: Dupont Pioneer aka: “Corteva Agriscience” is looking for summer seasonal help to work in the seed quality testing lab in Tipton, IN. Work will begin around the first of June and end when school starts in the fall. Experience is not necessary, they will train. Must be 18 years or older, be able to pass a background check and drug screen, work from 7:00am to 4:00pm with some overtime, must have reliable transportation to get to work on time, and commit to the safety standards that they will provide you. Benefits: $13.75/hr. plus overtime over 40hrs.week, work indoors, gain valuable work experience. If interested please stop by the counseling office and pick up an application.
*Summer school will be held June 4th through June 27th, 2019. Attendance is mandatory. Students may not miss more than eight total hours to remain eligible for credit. Class times are 8:00am to 12:15pm Monday through Friday with 15 minute break at 10:00am. Students may register for one course only during summer session. The Class of 2020 & 2021 may enroll in Economics and the Class of 2020 may enroll in US Government. To reserve a seat in one of the classes, please see Mrs. Smith in the counseling office to complete a registration form. Payment is required at the time of sign-up to hold a seat. Registration is first come first serve until maximum number is met per sections. The fee to attend summer session is $10, which includes student book rental and the cost of consumables. All Plato credit recovery courses are $50. Please note, fees are nonrefundable.
*REDHOT Scott’s Driving academy is offering classes for the spring of 2018/2019.They offer an Internet Driver Education Class Option - AAA’s “How to Drive” for those students unable to attend our Traditional Classes. Students must be 15 years old by the start of training. The six one hour drives for both In-Classroom training, and the Internet training, will be scheduled by the Academy at a later date. Tonight's track meet with Elwood has been cancelled. It will NOT be rescheduled.
Sheridan has postponed our baseball and softball games for this evening. Baseball will be played on Wednesday, March 24 5pm at Sheridan. A make-up date for softball is still trying to be worked out.
