Taylor High School Daily Announcements


*Taylor Choral Department will present their fall concert “Ease on Down the Yellow Brick Road” this evening at 7 PM in the Taylor cafetorium. Admission price is $5 for adults, $3 for students senior citizens and veterans, 5 five and under are free, and Taylor staff will also be admitted free. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Hope to see you there!

*Mount Men - Any boy interested in helping out the cheerleaders this year as a mount-man needs to see Mrs. Hillman this week for more information. Practice begins after fall break.

*Seniors, you may pick up your 2nd fundraiser for senior trip from Mrs. Decker beginning today. Fundraiser order forms and money are due by the Monday after fall break, October 22nd.

*Any student who wishes to take a dual credit course for S2 at IUK should make an appointment to see Ms. Boruff.

*Tutoring now available upon request. Any student interested in tutoring should contact the counseling office.

Student Information and Activities

*ATTENTION GIRLS BASKETBALL: Practice starts Monday October 15th.... week of fall break we will practice 10-12:30....you must have a physical on file to practice... if you plan on playing you need to be there ... if you don’t have a physical be there anyway.

*A book fair is being held in the middle school computer lab this week. There are many titles of interest to high school readers in the fair. Any questions about the book fair can be directed to Mrs. Hunter.

*Picture Re-takes are this Friday October 12th. If you were not here on the original day or would like to purchase pictures, this is your chance. Picture forms are available in the high school office.

*Seniors: A representative from Franklin College will be here on October 22nd during WIN and on October 31st there will be one from Indiana Wesleyan, during WIN and lunch, to visit with anyone interested. Please make plans to come to the counseling office on those days if you are interested in speaking with them.

*Seniors: The FAFSA window is open through the April 15th deadline. The next Invest-Ed meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 12th, for students/parents that need individualized help completing FAFSA's online submission.

*REDHOT Scott’s Driving academy is offering classes for the fall of 2018.They offer an Internet Driver Education Class Option - AAA’s “How to Drive” for those students unable to attend our Traditional Classes. Students must be 15 years old by the start of training. The six one hour drives for both In-Classroom training, and the Internet training, will be scheduled by the Academy at a later date. *High School Bowling is starting up. We will meet every Monday and Friday at Heritage Lanes bowling starts at 4:15. Anyone in high school can join there are coaches to help any beginners. *The Historical Society is selling parking spots that you can paint and have that spot for the rest of the year. The VIP parking spots are $15.00 and the others are $10.00. Please go to Mr. Bennett's room 150 to purchase a spot.
