      • APRENTICESHIPS: For those of you who are not familiar with apprenticeships, you might find a great future. Basically, you work/learn and get paid for it. Lots of people don't do well with "book learning," but excel with "hands on." This is also a way to get PAID while you learn; normally, you pay to learn. Some of the more popular apprenticeships are electricians, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, etc. Also, certain area employers establish apprenticeships for needed workers. For more information, contact Ivy Tech’s apprenticeship coordinator Steve Waddel at 252-5545.
